What I found interesting about the Adam Smith reading was that his principle still fits in our society today. For instance, Smith stresses that masters always do better than slaves or people generally at a lower status. At times, masters succeed using their slaves.

This reflects on life today, because a master (or now called a boss) is still the one doing best within a company or any workforce. It's not like his assistant or any employee lower than him is going to make just as much as him. It's very likely, he might be doing way more than the chief, but that doesn't make our society stop and say "We should reward him with what he actually deserves."

I'm actually very interested in the class discussion that's going to take place tomorrow.
